People ask me this question all the time. My answer is always the same. The best Tarot deck is the one you like the best. There are so many different designs and styles - you can get decks based on Celtic Mythology, dragons, fairies, post modernism and Harry Potter.  There is no end to the variety. Read more »

A Tarot deck is generally comprised of 78 cards. These cards are split into what we call the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. ‘Arcana’ means secret, or hidden. So they are the big and small secrets.

Tarot Cards don’t have a ’set in stone’ meaning. Their meaning may change for you every time you look at them. They will mean something different in different combinations. Think of them as recipe ingredients. There are limitless ways to combine the ingredients - from sweet to sour and everything in between.

Get really involved and be a tour volunteer! I've already put my name
down. I'll let you know what they get back to me with.
With the Dalai Lama touring Australia for 11 days in June 2007, there is
an opportunity for people who wish to help.
The organising body, Dalai Lama In Australia Limited (DLIAL), is looking
for volunteers who would like to participate in some way in the running
of the tour.
If you do volunteer, please accept that DLIAL will need to determine who
is best suited to do particular tasks. There are opportunities for
volunteers in all the cities being visited by His Holiness.

Last night I was knitting a pink scarf for my niece and listening to one
of the Tarot School's audio lessons. There is so much information in
them and I find I pick up a lot more than just from reading - hearing
someone say something helps me retain information. I am bummed that I
had to miss the tarot conference this year. I had such a good time last
year and it really was a turning point in my life as well as my tarot
reading. Hell or high water, I'm going next year.
I'm going to order some more CD's. I'd like to get the ones on the
Qabalah and the minor arcana. It's fascinating to listen to Wald talk.
He really is very knowledgeable. Sometimes I find the pace a little
slow, like when they are doing a meditation or something like that, but
the cd's really are great.
I need to get the next lesson done for this week. We are up to The
Chariot and I will also teach them the 'Hidden Face' reading technique.
