F.A.Q.

How does Tarot work?

There are 78 cards in a Tarot deck. Individually and in combination these cards cover many of the experiences of human existence. The querant (the person asking the question) shuffles the cards and as they do so, the cards take on the querant’s energy and reflect it through the cards chosen, even though the querant doesn’t see the face of the cards as she chooses them. The reader uses her knowledge of the cards and her intuition to interpret the cards.

As I allowed to ask questions when I have a tarot reading?

Yes! In fact the best way to have a tarot reading is to come prepared with a number of questions written down. You can ask more questions as you progress through the readings. SOme people have the attitude that they don’t say ANYTHING while they are having a reading. This is like going to the doctor and not telling her why you are there. It is not an enjoyable experience for the reader to sit for an hour and peer at the cards for someone who sits like a stone and says nothing. A reading is a conversaton. Psychic energy flows when people talk and engage with each other. You don’t have to ‘give anything away’ but please do make comments and indicate if the things that are said make sense to you.

How does clairvoyance work in a reading?

Picking up psychic or clairvoyant information in a reading depends on many factors and especially the openess and trust of the querant. You are spending good money having a reading, presumably with someone you have been referred to or at a centre with a reputation for good readers, so relax and be open and TRUST that the reader will pick up the information you need to know.

A good reading is truly a joint effort. It’s not a performance by the reader to be observed by the querant. I know this because I used to go to readers and be completely tight lipped and not give anything away and then leave the reading feeling short changed and annoyed. Now when I have a reading myself, I have very specific questions in mind, including “what else do I need to know at the moment?”, and always leave feeling inspired and energised.
